On the air from smart new studios
EAST Yorkshire's hospital radio's
smart new studio complex has been given the civic seal of approval.
Kingstown Radio, which has a
40-year history, has now been transferred to 1350AM and can be heard throughout
the Hull Royal Infirmary (HRI).
Its new HRI studio was officially
launched on Saturday with a visit from Lord Mayor of Hull Brian Wilkinson and a
host of civic dignitaries.
Kingstown, which plays music,
information and interviews 24-hours-a-day, relies on donations and is staffed
by about 50 volunteers.
