Hospital Radio Service Cut
HULL's hospital radio service has
cut its programme time from 23 hours to three-and-a-half hours a week.
But the reduction, which came
into effect from last Sunday, is only until the service moves into new studios
on March 2.
The only programmes which have
been kept are the record request spots on Sundays between 4pm and 6pm and on
Mondays between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm.
The service is moving out of its
building in Wellington Street in the old town after fire damage to adjoining
property.
BETTER SERVICE
The new service is on Hull's
Beverley road. Mr Ashley Howard, a spokesman for the station, said: 'We're
hoping to give a far more comprehensive service to patients from our new
studio'.
But more volunteers were needed
to help run the station, he said.
It was hoped that the service
would be expanded to provide more quiz and magazine programmes.
