Sartorial stroll for charity
HULL'S BUSINESSMEN will take part
in a sponsored walk from Queen's Gardens to Beverley in September.
The plan to prove that charity
marches are not just for the younger generation comes from members of the
Hospital Broadcasting Services.
Publicity secretary Mr John
Fulstow said that money raised for the walk would be divided between the
Hospital Broadcasting Services, spastics and multiple sclerosis charities.
BOWLERS AND BROLLIES
The Organisers visualise the
walkers wearing pin-stripe suits and bowler hats, and carrying umbrellas.
Already there are about 40
entries.
'We have had a terrific response
and the idea has aroused the interest of several firms' says Mr Fulstow.
He added that the walk could
develop into an event involving rival teams from sevearl firms.
The walk is scheduled to take
place on Sunday, September 7th
